I am absolutely knackered, I have no reason to be, but poor diet, lack of money and strange sleeping patterns never work well, especially not in Summer, I just can't stand the heat. Summer is horrible, I'm more of an Autumn kinda guy.

Made my untimely return to FFXI yesterday, although I only did a few campaign battles, as usual they were doing server maintenance, when will they stop screwing up and inconveniencing their players.

I have been considering a server transfer, only if they offer free ones again as I am not paying for it. Generally because the people of Odin are wankers, its a JP heavy server, and the remaining population is full of geeky elitist gamers with no lives, who genuinely believe they are better than somebody else because they play a game more than somebody and/or have better in-game equipment than somebody. Seriously it is a game, A GAME, a video game damn it. I really get annoyed with people who take video games too seriously, I guess they mustn't have much of a life.

But yes I have not posted here in a while, so I just thought I'd say (again) I am still alive. Which may disappoint some.

It has been a while since I posted anything here. I haven't been in a particularly well way lately, as anybody who saw the previous post (now deleted) should know. I deleted it because I got a little carried away when I actually wrote it, not that it was anything particularly important.

I have been busy lately, the usual stuff looking for a job, messing around with some code, and in the boredom of unemployment I even... joined Facebook, I'm so ashamed. That site is really annoying, poorly coded, and gives third party developers way too much leeway. Alas I only go on there to play some of the silly games on there, but still... eww. Unfortunately I have to load the LS and style sheets manually with the web dev toolbar for each page load or refresh, so I cannot use a more tidied up, less messy, less ugly version of their code to make the site run smoother for me, and be less of a visual disturbance. Oh well, I will figure out some way to force a cleaner code to be used this end.

Anyway there's not much to report, still no work, Vikki is as always evil, I have a headache, cant feel my arms and have food cravings so nothing new.

I must remember to write down dates of when I have any bills or payments going out so I can stay ahead of my finances and plan a bit better.

I have been working with the ModX framework recently, in hopes of developing some good web applications, what I like about ModX is the clean feel and the complete control to develop with it, without all the clutter and crap. I did hit a few problems in that their documentation really sucks, and there are a few very basic functions missing that require snippets to utilise on a per chunk basis, hopefully they will fix that in the newer version. As this has put a snag in my line, no support for adding author / posted on date in an article without relying on snippets. Silly basic things like that piss me off, cause I end up spending hours working around it.

Managed to work out most front end type things, now the back end is a whole new biscuit, getting there but I give up for today.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I watched all 30 episodes and this was one of my favourites. Although the earlier episodes are perhaps the funniest collectively, this is the best of them all.

It is a voice over / dubbed version of X-men episodes. ROFL!!!

So after procrastinating and putting off sorting the layout into DIVs I finally got around to it. Though you won't notice any key differences, it is a lot more work to code in DIVs rather than the usually misused tables.

I was messing around with some other none-related code when my brain surged and I remembered some long forgotten attributes that make DIVs bond together like tables do. So anyway I implement them and there was a few spacing issues but I figured out that eventually. Everything looked fine, but apparently I had missed out a closing DIV tag in the news element, and essentially a huge overflow mess-up happened, but that is fixed.

The site does not appear different at all but all of its build is different, more efficient and most of all more standard compliant.

Now to return to the super secret project I was working on... bah maybe tomorrow.

As soon as money comes in, it goes straight out. No fun, and another thing that is no fun is standing around Whitegate for hours without a single party invite. I wanted to cap out the EXP on my Dragoon before collecting a bunch of merit points, but in all this time I managed to get 1 merit party invite, and that only lasted an hour before disbanding, kinda ghey considering I used to get invites constantly, many when I did not even have flag up, or a /seacom on. Still reminds me of that time when I got a pt invite when walking through San D'oria, no flag, no /seacom, and I get an invite to a party from Maarc in the Altepa Desert, this was just after level-sync was released and we synced to level 38 in the desert, was getting high chains like in a merit party, and phenomenal experience, better EXP than most great high level parties get. I guess a good set up, and someone who knows how to lead makes for easy experience points. If only I were getting that must XP/Hr nowadays.

On to other things, that cat is friggin' crazy, doing crazy stuff jumping all over the place, knocked over my deodorant cans this morning jumping on the bed side table silly animal.

I also recently noticed that people have to be logged in to make comments on these posts how annoying I guess that was an oversight of mine, that is the problem with using a framework in order to reduce the amount of coding done. I have been browsing a few other frameworks that I have used and modified the hell out of in the past, although that whole issue with converting my tables to DIVs has yet to be fixed. DIVs just aren't as design flexible as tables, as seen with my layout, it breaks into 3 TDs per TR to create elements to insert my ide graphics in, and a center place for all content, the content section splits into further TDs to differentiate between content and navigation and so on. I can use a mixture of pixel sizes and percentage sizes together to make things how I want them, however with DIVs, using it like that causes an overflow problem. Essentially the middle proportion which is set to 100%, overflows pushing the right section to a new line using a DIV set-up, but tables allow all TDs to be printed on that TR and without the 100% causing the overflow. Grr, I have previously solved this problem before but I cannot for my life remember how. Similar to the CSS problem that makes IE display stupid because it wont accept the repeat factor in shorthand background code unless there is a space between the bracketed URL/path and the repeat element. Stupid IE.

Anyway, My layout is under revision, I was considering using different colours and perhaps some art work and imagery to give elements a much clearer and more up to date look. But that comes later, not now as I am yet to find an in game area from which to make art work.

I'm bored. And today I realised the impending doom at hand. As of I believe in one month, that marks my 6 months on JSA. Meaning they'll put me on the ND program, and send me to PTP. How awful it would be to have to go back to that horrible, sueless degrading place where they do nothing but leave your personal and supposedly confidential files and details around. Then threaten to have JCP terminate your JSA claim for the smallest of things.

I hated that place when I was there before, And going back there would be a nightmare, which how things are going, I will likely end up back there, that sucks. But luckily for me I'm a docile bastard to some extent, and I make it through all the shit that gets thrown this way because of it. There's nothing quite like being sent to work at charity shops and shit like they do there. Although I didn't mind working at BHF, they weren't ass hats like at Extra Care, working security at BHF was probably the highlight of my days there, which is pretty sad. That is only because I got to follow the shoplifters and scare the shit out of em, and the bums who kept taking things out the dumpsters. Security work is fun, maybe I should get my SIA license or whatever it's called. Then again, with my health issues, It wouldn't be the best of jobs to spanner out on. I'm still bored.

Oh yeah before I forget, I was in an exp party earlier in FFXI, and the PLD left and the replace was Ice, he refused to join though, called me a loser, pretty pety, but when I saw him it gave me a good laugh, of all people... Some other people in the party also commented that they knew him or of him and that he was a douchebag, I guess It's not just me. I should be careful though, Ice claims he can "read people". If I had a penny for everybody who ever said that, I'd have about 630 pennies. Reading people on the internet, where there is no tone, emotion and things are easily misconstrued. Heck I talk some real shit on here that sounds mad, but I'm a robot, I have no tone or emotion to anything I say, I just say it how it is. But still He might "read" me Oh noes. How exactly does one read somebody whom theye never met, verbally spoke with, or even had a long enough conversation with, after all this is the internet, where everybody you speak to potentially does not exist. Maybe I'm just some "character" made up by some crazy person. Makes me think back to that law suit where that one teenager made up like 50 online identities and used them to blag the shit out of that other kid, and ended up making him suck cock and stab someone.

So today's lesson in life: Don't talk to strangers, even if they do have chocolate...

Yeah... we got a cat. Vikki decided "hey lets get a black cat and call it Vivi". Originally, I had thought she was joking. There is now a black 8 month old kitten named Vivi chasing a rattling ball around the flat. It's name was Coco, or Cocoa, but the name had to be fixed. Originally it was timid, and wouldn't come near us, or do anything, now it follows us from room to room. It wouldn't step foot in the kitchen, but cats have a secret weakness, cheese, and this cat loves it's food. Made a cheese trail to the kitchen, leading to its food bowl and around it's litter tray, so the cat would be acquainted with it's essentials. It worked and now it is chasing a ball around. Seems to have adjusted, but it jumps a mile when there are sudden sounds or movements. It has yet to hear the buzzer go off, or meet the girls, so when it does, it is in for a loud, fast moving shock.

It's a kitty (in little schoolgirl voice).

So watch your ass cause our Black Mage Vivi will nuke you.

The update is finally here. I am not too fussed about it, couldn't care less to be honest. Don't get why people get so excited, its a game update, wow.

As we all know the updates cause UI mods and stuff to revert and screw up so UI makers have to update their files, upload em and supply them.

I have already updated my UI, this works for English client only, and in 4:3 (will not work for widescreen 16:3)

WM25 is tonight. There are some good matches on the card, some crappy ones too but that's WWE for you. SD sucked there was like 2 matches there, talk about watering down a show into piss.

Looking forward to Taker VS HBK. 17-0 baby. MITB is set up to be quite good, HHH v Orton Im not sure about, Big Show v Edge v Cena, well it would be much better with out Cena in there, I mean, sure some people love him, some hate him, but the way they just well... shove him into big matches and put a crappy storyline to it kinda sucks, the creative guys must be like "right... we have to put cena in a title match....ok lets come up with any old shit....ok ive got it, cena doesn't like using the toilet after edge, cause it smells, so hes gonna be in the match". An exaggeration yes, but you get the picture, before anyone who isnt either a fanboy or one of these "lets all be friends and sing songs together" kinda guys, starts to like Cena, they actually have to think of something other than "lets have him tell crap jokes, do worse impressions, be annoying, and do a gay wink to Jericho".

So I must remain awake for at least another 5 hours 20 mins to watch the full show. Just wish they'd cut all that diva crap out. Really now, if you want to watch that crap, you need a better wife/partner/girlfriend. Or you need to get one...

Oh, got Impulse Drive today, finally, been putting it off for a while. For someone who doesnt procrastinate, where FFXI is concerned I do it constantly.
