If you want to know how to convert AR DS codes from US to EU regions and vice versa, and google it, everywhere you go people will ask about it and be told it cannot be done. Well to all those wise guys who say you can't do it, Barrack Obama says YES WE CAN. Crappy jokes aside, You can actually region convert codes, its a matter of finding the regional different offset for each game you want to convert, then applying the offset to the codes you want to convert. I quickly wrote up an article on it which can be viewed Here or by clicking the Articles link on the side bar or top navigation bar.
It is apparently either a little known or unknown fact that this can be done, but after being tired of farming a rainbow pudding in FF4, I took it upon myself to find an AR code to get it, unfortunately, there aren't any home brewed EU codes for the game. I found an American version and decided I would see if it could be converted. Everywhere I went it was "no It cannot be done". But I proved those morons wrong by taking a look at the differences between the EU and US codes that do the same thing.
Just a matter of off sets. For more info, read my article. That is if you have the 2 brain cells it requires to use MS calculator.
Other than that I don't have much to report, I'm off FFXI until at least Friday, I again have not paid my content ID. I haven't been doing much In game lately anyway, I never do really, just log in and stand around whilst I'm AFK most the time. Wonder why I even bother playing the game sometimes, since I'm rarely actually at the computer.
Feeling kind of sluggish today, and I have thousands of potential images, and videos running through my mind, I must get a microphone for the PC, not sure what happened to my old one, but If I ever intend to get the results I want, I need to record some voice overs.
Sorry Ice, no new pictures for you today, thanks for swimming in my pond (a.k.a stalking me) I will be sure to put some more bait on the hook soon.
Peace.
So over the past few days we took on a few NMs on FFXI just out of complete randomness and boredom. camping some is a pain, always some wanker who arrives at the last minute to steal the claim. I cannot remember every one we fought, but amongst then were Scogs Fru, Dyinyinga, Novv The Whitehearted, Yaha the profane, Moo Ouzi the swiftblade, and Mee Deggi the punisher. Here are some pictures.

I didnt manage to screenshot them all unfortunately.
On another note, whilst searching for a new job I came across a sales position for GAME, I was like "what the" cause that place is usually full of applicants and people handing over their CVs, popular place to work. I'd love to work there, may even get a staff discount on games and stuff. How awesome is that, posted a CV, some refs and a covering letter to them, I doubt I will ever hear from them, but it'd be nice to end my current unemployment with a job at GAME. Just awesomeness. The staff there seem like nice folks, so I doubt my boss would be a total ass hole like my former manager. But we won't go into how much of an ass hole Gary was/is.
Peace.
First of all, Happy Birthday to Eric (Croc).I've been having problems with converting table layouts to DIV layouts. As always the number one problem is floating them and getting them to align properly, since DIVs cant form row bonds like tables do. Had some help from Don Burns who agrees that DIVs can be stupid some times, I think we managed to figure out a solution in the end. But with DIVs every solution brings new problems, I didn't finish the layout I was working on as it was almost 5 am, so I went to bed. Thanks again Don.
I must start getting back into a normal sleeping routine again, every time I get back into one, something screws it up and I end up going to bed at 6 am.
Today I had two very interesting conversations on MSN messenger, one was with my old friend Rob Cubley, he's a good guy, very well rounded in my opinion, catching up with him and he had some very interesting stories about what he's been up to these last couple of years. He's a god guy to have a conversation with. The other conversation was with my old buddy Don Burns, we were discussing modern web development and formats, as well as website optimisation, always learn something new from that guy. It eclipsed me for so many years as to why so many developers hate HTML tables being used in layouts, they can be made to look great, and using divs can be more work sometimes too. Apparently for disabled people, screen reading software reads tables badly, and makes you have to sit through it talking about repetative table contents in list format on every page. Interesting, I will be sure to stick to divs from now on Don. Although Divs are usually my preferred format anyway. We were discussing such things as how the web evolves and how simple things can make websites look more modern, or more like something from the stone age. Also had some constructive criticism which is what I wanted. As Don is somebody I consider to be by superior in the web development world, not just because of all his degrees but because he is damn good at what he does. So I might be making some small, but significant changes to this sites design.
On top of that, I need to work out why YSlow is saying that my stuff isn't GZipped, when I'm sure I added the gzip encoding into the header, the same with the expires tag. So there is a bit of work to be done for further improve my sites appearance, coding (which is mostly for the odd chance that someone with a screen reader visits, doubtful but I like to comply to the web standards), and compression.
For now, Peace out homies, as they say in some cultures.
I've been trying to remember anything that has happened in between the site being down and it being up again.Ever wondered what an airship looks like without a texture fill?
We started doing Bastok Missions in FFXI.
Bob rushed into it and I had to play catch up, we got as far as 7-2 with Fonteyne then he went offline saying he was "done for the day". About ready to go to bed when one of his friends sent me a /tell saying that Fonteyne would be back on in 5 minutes to do Bastok Missions with them. I was like "WTF" I wasn't really particularly bothered, I was tired and wanted to go to bed. I went to bed left myself logged in and set my /seacom to "Fontefag ditched us ; ;" which is the typical joke humour of /seacoms around fonteyne.
So then the next day he comes online and goes all hell for leather at me and Bob saying we accusing him of ditching us and treating him like shit and I was like "I really don't care if you ditched us or not" and then he said I was accusing him again I was like "wtf I didnt say you ditched us, I said that I don't care if you did or not" then he went hell for leather apparently not understanding plain English. He said he doesn't ditch people period, and then said he was going to ditch us for accusing him. Well apparently he does ditch people contrary to the above statement, and over stupid BS that he starts over his friend (who later denied it) saying that Font was gonna be on for missions with them. Maybe that isnt the way the guy meant it, but that is certainly the way it came out, and was not misinterpreted, apparently some people lack basic grammatical skills. That was pretty screwed up, we have not done any more missions since, have bee busy and all.
Prior to that It was Vikki (Evilbob)'s birthday on the 13th, so we got a few friends together and did a Brenner which was fun, went to that weird party place in Aht Urghan and then did double besieged, fun way to celebrate your birthday. Tashan really showed he knew what he was doing in there, despite being intoxicated on rum.
Special thanks to Tashan, Shyen, Norris, Unkindcrocodile, Hornielf, Zeaza, Dazz, Thecyberman, Mikeyco, and Mecant for showing up to Brenner.
I recently was informed that the bank would be charging me again at the end of this month for not having the money in the bank to cover the alst charge (it was an automated overdrawn charge, I'm not gonna have the money in to cover it If I am overdrawn, dumb ass banks ripping people off).
I recently received a text message from my mother who I don't see very often, she was enquiring as to if I was ok, as she had apparently seen me sitting at her kitchen table briefly 2 mornings in a row, apparently it scared the shit out of her. Then again if I was seeing ghostly images of relatives at the table I wouldn't be too happy either.
I started speaking to my brother Matthew more regularly, he's the one who used to be a drug dealing scum bag, and he has now apparently changed his ways and is working for the youth service to help youths and stuff, which fair play to him for doing that. Not sure if he will stick with it, novelty soon wears off quick with him, but it is nice to hear that he is doing something good for a change.
He made me laugh when he was talking about how he used to just think up stupid ideas as a kid like "lets set fire to a car with Scott Weston in" which was probably a good idea, since Weston is now on the skag and looks like a corpse, scum bag.
I made my appearance on MSN, which i don't tend to frequent these days, caught up with a lot of old friends, most of which I haven't seen in 2 to 3 years.
That is about all I can remember for now
Peace
I was tired of the old platform, and have spent the last few hours working on a new one. It is much more flexible and I have made it look much better too. There are new features, and some old ones are gone, I'm not sure if I have managed to copy all the data from the old database into this one. I might have missed something. But this looks much better.
Also feel free to check out Evilbob's site at: Odinites.com
Got paid today, Paid my outstanding fees off and we're back.I was going to do something or say something, but I forgot what that was.
I probably had some shit to report but I cant remember, but I'm sure Iceman will be happy now that he has something to read to file that hole in his what must be a sad and boring life.
Got around to playing LBP, Vikki and myself 2-player'ed a lot of levels and had some fun. That game is just crazy, playing most of the levels is fun, the create mode is huge and can make for a lifetime of game play.My only problem is the downloadable content. I've always said DLC is a rip-off as it is, I mean like buying a game add-on for £5 that gives you all of pretty much nothing. The combined cost of all the stuff for LBP is huge. Looked on PSN and they sell costume packs separately, You got to be pretty sad to pay £1.50 for one useless in game costume. But there are lots of costumes which means lots of money.
I been reading about people who "trade" by swapping PSN ID's and passwords over the net, and download each others purchases. Little wonder PSN limits the number of consoles you can use downloads on, but you got to be pretty damn stupid to exchange your PSN with some guy on the internet... seriously how stupid, all I hear is about people whose accounts got taken over by doing this, the people they traded with lock them out of the account and so on. Serves them right for stupidity.
The cost of useless DLC is appauling in my opinion, maybe I should hack Mr K.E's PSN, I'd bet he has the metal gear content pack for LBP.
Other than that, the game is great, I'd hate to be the crackhead who decides to play it whilst under the influence.
Good wholesome multiplayer fun. Apparently though published levels get moderated for stupid stuff though.
Considering the game mechanics of much of the content of this game one would think the 7+ rating is too low.
I don't give a crap how harmless and inoffensive content is. Anyone with kids knows that if it says they are old enough to play it, they will insist on playing it, even if they do not understand what they are doing. Likely to nag one asking what to do every 30 seconds.
I created a test level with near to nothing on, just fiery ground and a few objects, and a guy with a penis on his head who calls you a cunt. I dont think it would last long if it got published online.
Oh well, this game earns a WTF from me, a good WTF mind you.
